Who we are:

If you are a parent or guardian of a band member at any level, you are automatically a member of the San Saba Band Boosters. But we are not just parents. We are grandparents, family members, friends, former band members, and members of the community who are interested in making the San Saba band program the very best it can be.

What we do:

Working in cooperation with Mr. Sours, the band boosters primarily raise funds to assist the bands with various needs that are not covered by the budget. First and foremost are the scholarships presented to graduating seniors, and funds for underclassmen attending band camps during the summer. The Band Boosters also assist with various needs of the band through the school year relating to food and drink for games -- unlike athletes, band students are not provided meal money through the budget. We also work to offset expenses incurred for trips to contests taken by the band.

How to be involved:

Parents and guardians are required, beginning this year, to provide us with a valid, regularly checked email address. Not only will you be receiving band booster news, but as the band program is going paperless this year, it will be the ONLY way you will receive important news and information from Mr. Sours. Newsletters, schedules for band events, etc. will no longer be sent by mail or handouts to students. If you are not a parent or guardian of a band member, but wish to join us, you are welcome you to join us for meetings and on our mailing list. Simply go to the home page and fill in your name and email there, or you may go to the page and sign up there as well.
